This is it. Your chance to start over. Your wish has been granted, your prayers answers. This is an official reset. A clean slate. A new beginning. A fresh start.

From this point on, the past no longer serves us except to teach us lessons that move us forward. The old habits we had last week, yesterday, even this morning – don’t matter. The only thing that matters now is this moment.

Your choices, thoughts and actions in this moment are what matters. Why? Because they shape our futures. We aren’t our past, so don’t be held back with that thinking. Rather, be the person you need to be NOW in order to achieve the goals you are working towards.

Also, don’t say you’ll start tomorrow/next week/next month. The future doesn’t exist so those are empty promises. So instead commit to being the best version of you in this moment.

So just after you have hit the reset button, check in with the following things:

1. What is your WHY.

Understanding what your big picture vision is for your life will help you to keep on track moment to moment. When we aren’t connected to our purpose, we start deviating and end up wasting time on things that aren’t moving us forward. Keeping your ‘why’ front of mind will help to give you clarity and keep you focused.

2. Asking for help.

No (wo)man is an island. Whilst we might all be on our own journey, we won’t finish it without the help of a supportive tribe. When you feel yourself falling off the bandwagon, round up the gang and ask for help. Whether it is advice, motivation or just a shoulder to lean on, other people are crucial to your success. Start to notice who you have around you that you can trust and who will lift you up. Then ask them for help!

3. Take action!

What will be different to what you do post reset to what was happening pre-reset? Simple – the action you take. Look at people who have achieved the level of success you are aiming for and do what they did. Book yourself into networking gigs, get a coach, join a gym… whatever your goal is, start taking action in this moment for the payoffs tomorrow/next week/next month. Trust me, it’ll be worth it.

So, now you are ready to push the reset button. Do it! And tell me below what your plans are for this fresh start.
