Have you ever felt like a fraud? Like any moment, someone will call you out and say “you don’t belong here!” Do you feel like you aren’t good enough, smart enough or experienced enough on a regular basis?

I do.

This is despite the fact my friends often tell me how confident they think I am and how I seem to have it all together. And it’s not that I am putting on a mask and pretending to be something I’m not. But I have always questioned whether I’m a good enough mum or am I really able to run my own business.

This is a normal human fear. The fear of not being good enough. We all feel it. Everyone. No exception. Not even the most put together person you know. Even Beyonce has moments of doubt and fear.

But the key is to not let that stop you. Don’t let your small doubts dampen your big dreams.

Fear is always going to be a passenger on your journey. Always. You just have to learn how to ride along together. Sometimes it will be easy to put fear in the back seat. But in moments when your self doubt is high, it will feel like fear is driving the bus.

Acknowledging your fear, rather than hiding from it, is the first step. You can’t pretend like it’s not there. Instead, appreciate that it is there trying to keep you safe.

Then decide to keep going anyway. Make a commitment that regardless of feeling like a fraud or that you don’t think you are good enough, you will give it a crack anyway. Your greatest growth will come through feeling that uncomfortable, uncertain feeling and stepping ahead anyway.

Make your faith in your future bigger than the fear. Make your trust in yourself bigger than your doubt. Make your WHY and your VISION bigger than the uncertainty.

Also – take heart in knowing that you aren’t the only one feeling like this. I can be reassuring to know that we all feel inadequate sometimes.
