Today I caught up with someone who I knew a few years ago. We dropped out of contact, moved on with our lives and just recently, out of sheer coincidence (is there such a thing??), we bumped into each other. We talked about a mutual ex-friend, a man, who we both felt quite negatively towards. I lost respect for this man when I heard about his sleazy nature. Thankfully I was never the victim of it but it does make my skin crawl to think about it. Anyway, turns out, this man who once bragged about being rich and well off and, to be honest, acted quite arrogantly, is now broke.
And one word popped up for me: Karma.
I firmly believe that what you put into this world will come back to you. And I know I’m not the only one to think this.
However, it doesn’t just apply to negative juju but also positive juju.
When you are positive, when you put in loads of value, when you are following your heart and brightening everyone’s day – then that will come back to you.
I think it is a good rule for life: do bad and get bad. Do good and get good.
It is also relevant in the amount of effort we put in. So often we want to put in the smallest amount of effort and still get a big result. It just doesn’t work that way. There are no short cuts. No quick fixes.
You have to put in BIG effort if you want BIG results.
You want to climb Mt Everest? Well honey, you are going to have to do some major training.
Our dreams and goals are exactly the same. You only get out what you put in.
This is something that I have personally learned myself. The more I focus on my biz, the more consistent I am with creating content and posting, the better my results, the higher my numbers and the richer my engagement. Tick tick tick.
But when I slip, when I stop but STILL expect to see good results – I have to tell myself to get real.
Because you GET what you GIVE.
Moral of the story is:
be nice – and more people will be nice to you.
take action – and you will get results.
Be good – and you will get good!
